Default My recent visit to Portland Or

New member, trying to post my first photo here... I just read the rules as well as NICOLE's "Posting Pictures from Photo Sharing Sites (A visual guide)", and give it a try.

1st Photo: Willamette River (HDR version) from vista house at crown point --- the scenery is truly amazing!
Columbia River Gorge, Portland OR

2nd Photo: This is the second highest year-round waterfall in the States. About 5 minutes after I took this shot, it started raining, then pouring
Multnomah Falls, Portland Oregon

Nice shots from my home area. If you drive just under 40minutes east, you'll hit Hood River, lovely scenery there. And I dont think the falls is in portland, would put "Columbia River Gorge" instead, but meh.

Thanks for showing the pics. Now I'm feeling homesick. I moved from Portland 7 years ago to Iowa. No regret but awaiting the day I can go home, to live again.
Hope you have a great trip. It most certainly is beautiful in the PNW!

Two beautiful shots! My friend went to the Willamette Valley, but for wine tasting! Nice pinots there!

Beautiful shots! Love the colours of the first and the silky feeling of the waterfall. Typical weather of the PNW! Always bring a rain coat ( I am from White Rock B.C.)

You actually answered the question I had for weeks: where exactly was I?  That was my first visit in Portland area on a 2-day business trip. Actually I did plan taking some photos of Mt. Hood on my way to Woodburn where I could also take some nice shot for the famous tulips… But it was raining and I had to stay at the summit pretty much the whole day, so it ended up I went to downtown area and took some shots of those bridges (Old steel bridge, Burnside, and the one near Union Station) instead. I’ll definitely revisit the city in the near future. So beautiful, and what a nice place!
