i thought this might be a bit mundane when i took it on a boat trip recently, but i really like the way it came out.

Oh yes, I like it too! It's always nice how some shots surprise you after the fact. This is lovely, I like the monotones & the soft focus of the horizon, as well as the strong reflection of the sun on the water. Beautiful.
