White Oriental Lily - and a rented flash

Thought I would share a shot that I took on the weekend with a SB-600 flash. I had the flash set to fire remote and was playing with angles and settings etc. It was the first time with an off camera flash and had a ball.

I liked the angle of the light on this one and also the detail that shows up in the pollen bits.


Let me know your thoughts (if any ??)

I actually rented the flash among a couple of other things for a B&W shoot for some friends. For the shoot I used the flash both on and off the camera and through an umbrella. I was very impressed with the outcome and so were they (I got paid in beer !!!!! )

If any one in Brisbane is interested in the contact details for the guy that rents the equipment let me know and I'll pass on the info.

That turned out very interesting - the difference in textures, softness & color intensity really draws me to keep looking at this.

Jason...I love it...it's amazingly close up...something we don't usually look that close at things like this
