Default Bird on a Wire et al...

A few shots from my trip to Point Roberts this morning. My friend, Bob, and I got there about 6:30 am, just as the sky was lightening up a bit. Man was it cold, and I was in shorts! A fun day for the two of us! I hope you enjoy these, and, as always, feel free to comment.

I love the hawk. Such great birds, and a nice shot.

beautiful shot of Mt Baker! That bird needs to watch its talons before it disrupts our telecommunications!

Nice series, Paul. all of these are good. Crisp, clear detail on the hawk. Love the pond and the reflection. beautiful colors on the sunrise and I love the foreground. Your 3rd is my favorite. I like the curve of the trees to the left and the opening into the horizon. well done.

Thanks Rick. We got lucky as the hawk was right above my car when I parked, and it did not move, and instread kept checking us out as we were taking shots!

The colours were gorgrous, and it was worth persevering in the cold. I had the same thought about the hawk! Crazy!

Thanks Mike. I guess I am getting better at this process, and I am learning to be patient and experiment in post, and not overdo it! Cheers, mate.

Those are beautiful. I thought the second was my favorite because of the reflection until I got to the third, and I love the b/w and the way the boat draws you in. Then I got to the last one, and maybe that is my favorite!
