Default Diner Time Macro

One day I would love to have enough money to purchase a really nice 100mm Macro lens but until then and due to losing my job in June and still looking for work I will have to use the cheap extension tubes I bought last year. Saw this spider eating it's dinner in the garden last night just as it was about to get dark so took a quick snap on the off chance it would come out ok. Not too bad, but so wish I had a decent macro lens. Ah well I can dream

You have some strong details in this photo, David. Nothing to apologize for.

And for it being near dark, you did a great job with the exposure. Good job on this very creepy subject.

And best of luck in all the other things you have going on.

Love the spider. Fascinating creatures. Macro gives you access to another world. I love it. Lots of great details on the spider. And I hope things go well for you in the job market, good luck.

David, I think it came out very well....almost too well, I think, because it's about to creep me out.

I think it turned out great. I want to get a nice macro lens myself some day. Right now I just use the setting on my camera, or the one on my zoom lens.

Are you kidding me? That's a great shot. I am still in possession of a very borrowed nikon 200mm macro, and I can't get a spider shot like that with it! So don't sell yourself short

Well I am so pleased that folks like this image, I truly love macro photography and was just reassessing this image and thought that the white marking on the spiders back looks like a sword? maybe it's just me but anyway Thank You all for your lovely comments.
