Default sea of people

These are quite ordinary shots - but I wanted to share them with you. I participated in the Greater Nashville Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure yesterday. I walked in honor of my cousin and aunt who are breast cancer suvivors. My cousin Tammy, in the middle was diagnosed in February and underwent a double mastectomy. Her mother (not pictured) is a 37 yr breast cancer survivor. So my sister and our girls laced up of off we went.

My sister Connie on the left, cousin Tammy in the middle and me on the right

October 10 091

This was the largest crowd ever - over 10,000 !!!!! This shows people lining up... down where the pink balloons are is the start line.

October 10 094

And it extends way far past me - it was a good day for a great cause !!

Cathy these are far from ordinary shots...my aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer last year ( non smoker by the way) and my uncle died from pancreatic cancer. My mum had a breast biopsy and thank God it wasnt cancer. I have nothing but praise and thankfulness to women like you who do something to help find a cure for these dreadful diseases. God bless you and your family and i pray they have many more years of health and happiness.

Thanks angeleyes.... Hope your mom continues to be cancer free. We have had other cancers in our family too. Just hope posting these pics brings more awareness.
