Default Reid State Park

This is a shot of Reid State Park in Georgetown, Maine. A beautiful location reminiscent of Cape Cod. You drive through a dense forest with lily pads and marsh, which unexpectedly opens up to a crescent sandy beach. If you know anything about coastal Maine, you know that sandy beaches are very rare, especially north of Portland.

Great shot. This is one of my favorite places to go and we go there quite often.

Makes me want to follow the path down to the water.

Thank you! It is a very soothing location, nice and quiet (minus people noise).

I've only been there once but plan many trips in the future; had no idea it even existed until recently.

It's a beautiful beach. Filled with driftwood and random ledges, but flat and sandy. It's hard to explain, but I can tell you that it's one of the most interesting beaches I've seen.
