Default Texture in Nature: B&W

I liked this shot for the grass textures. I took it at midday, which is not always a great time to shoot, but I thought that the contrast between the shadows and light areas enhanced the texture of the grass. I think you need to see the larger version to appreciate this shot. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this photo, and always feel free to leave comments. I am still working on my B&W conversions.

Nuts about grass and I think you are right about the time of day being in your favor. Very nice texture, especially nice in BW.

I love this one Paul. It really does show lots of different textures and the black and white shows them even better. Great subject and great shot.

Dave.

I agree Paul, noon is not always the best time to take pictures, but this image works well and you've captured and presented some excellent textures in black and white, nice one

Thanks Mike. I get a little better each conversion, and the spot was beautifully lit up.

Thanks Steve. You, if anyone, know the struggles I have gone through with the whole B&W conversion process, let alone composition, lighting etc. So much to learn in this great hobby. You and all the rest of the members have helped me grow (bigtime!), and also have provided me with the motivation to do better. Thanks to all of you.
