Default End of the day

I went for a drive this evening as the sun was starting to go down. I loved the quietness of the countryside and the colours in the sky as the day came to an end and the hectic life on the farm ended for another day.

End of the day

that box sure looks like honey puffs to me! What happened to good ole eggs, bacon, ham, biscuits and gravy, and fresh drawn milk for the Amish? I guess that's what they do when they are late for church! Grab a bowl for the road.

the shapes of the barn , the angled lines.. smooth colors and soft blue skies.. I like the calming feel of the first three.

The last shot has a quite a few elements I really like ... the triangle shape of the " slow moving " sign on the back of the buggy mimics the trees on the side of the road.. I think the way the buggy wheels and axels are leaning with the road, but the buggy is level really create a sense of motion. and I love the sepia , great photo

Thank you Leona..coming from the city ( Perth Western Australia) its really something different to be able to drive 5 mins from home and see scenery like this..the old barns, the amish wagons and the quiet stillness of the country as night falls.

Nice to see some green still around this late in the season! All we have here is brown...all the green is on the overseeded golf courses right now! Very nicely composed on all counts, Angel. Thanks for sharing.

The first one looks so peaceful at the end of the day and it's always nice to the barns from the Amish area and you know how much I like to see the Amish people in their buggies. It looks like you had a nice drive. I wish I was there too. They are all lovely.

Your Bessie David.
