Default Liverpool, NS

These pics mostly have some sentimental value for me - being from Liverpool, England, I naturally had to stay over in Liverpool, Nova Scotia during my trip! The weather was overcast and grey while I was there (made me feel quite at home!) so it wasn't the best for landscapes, but I took some photographic memories with me anyway.

Some ships on the Mersey River (as opposed to the River Mersey back where I come from!)

From Nova Scotia (September 2009)

The bridge over the Mersey River. Just as an amusing aside - I was standing at one edge of the bridge a few minutes before taking this pic, and sadly watched helplessly as my Hoya polarizing filter fell into the water I said a few words that no lady should say......

From Nova Scotia (September 2009)

And lastly, Fort Point lighthouse in Liverpool.

..which presumably means that the second shot didn't use a filter, awesome, I must say. The blue shade just makes it brilliant.

No Soulsearcher, no polarizing filter on any of these three. They turned out better than expected actually, the sky was extremely hazy and many of my pics have really blown out white skies but these did ok!

Great shots, I know how you must have felt I broke my Polarizing filter on one of my trips and to cap it off it was a beautiful sunny day with loads of fluffy white clouds , I was gutted. These have turned out ok without the filter though. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for looking and commenting folks! I certainly was mad Mike! I remember just staring down at the water for about 2 minutes! I know how you must have felt Tryfan when yours broke on a fluffy cloud day! At least my day was overcast...

Anytime you can pull off good shots like these on an overcast washed out day you have done a terrific job filter or no filter. Thanks.
