Default Difficult subjects!

Hi!

I went to a bird sanctuary recently, and managed to see only a few birds, that too at large distances. Realized how difficult it can be to shoot them even with a 70-300mm zoom lens. All the picture were taken at close to 300mm.

Also, this is the first time I tried some post-processing on my pictures; just crop and some color correction.

Hope you like them.

This was perhaps the only bird that let me change my camera settings before letting me take its picture.

I tried but couldn't figure out what had caught their attention. At least they were distracted enough not to fly off before I could take the picture!

Thanks!

These are fantastic. It is a real challenge to take photos of birds they seem to know when you are about to push the clicker and choose that moment to move or fly off. You have done a fantastic job at taking these shots. Great dof and I like the reflection in the third shot. TFS

Great detail on that cooperative owl and I love the reflection on the Egret and the fact that you caught it in mid step! Well done!

These are really lovely shots...having tried birds a lot with very few shots worth using...especially hummers...wow, are they difficult!
