Default Rainy Day Treasure

As I was staring out the window at the drizzle and rain, I saw this wing lying on the sill. So I put extension tubes on the 200mm macro and amused myself in the warm, dry house.

Hello Martha,
Nice use of the extension tubes here, I really love the color one a lot. The second image looks like an x-ray!! just goes to show how delicate these natural wonders really are. who would think they could life something into the air. Lovely images, thanks for sharing them.

Wow Martha however did you see those and I wonder what they came off. Whatever it was you amused yourself well. Both captures are amazing. I love all the detail and the black background really makes the detail stand out. Very nice work Martha.

Dave.

Thank you for the kind words. It's the first time I used the extension tubes and actually managed to focus with them!

Very slick, Martha. I really like how the light spectrum is captured in the first one....but I really like the contrast in the b/w. Well done. Saw your name come up as a new post and got excited about seeing your Lensbaby shots.... The suspense is killing me..!

PS...congrats on hitting 300!!

Thanks, Dave. It was actually only one wing, but I shot it on a mirror because I was trying to get a smooth surface. And I kind of like the double effect.

Hello Martha
the world of macro its almost like going back to school and looking under a microscope for the first time. Its funny what we can find when the weathers bad.I couldnt work out what it was at first but its a wing i think.I like them all but especially the last with its great detail and simplicity it shows how delicate it is.
cool shots and thanks for sharing
