Default After Kawaza

After our village trip our guide asked if we still wanted to go out that evening and although we were all worn out we went for it. We saw no virtually no wildlife worth shooting but it was very exciting as we were tracking a leopard following the warning cries of baboons

I managed to get this shot which I was disappointed with in colour so tried in B&W

Also got this sunset shot off the front of our jeep

Quite different sort of shots for me so hope I've done a reasonable job

Thanks for looking

The B&W looks great. I've recently been doing the same with some shots I was somewhat disappointed with in color, it's amazing how different they turn out to be in black and white. Your sunset colors are terrific too, & I like the reflected bit you can see on the jeep.

Have to agree with you here, it's amazing how converting an image to b&w can totally transform it into something so cool. These are really nice images and I really like them.

Thanks - now all I've got to work out is the effects of changing the contrast on B&W images like this

Sheldon, Knowing this is Africa, I'm aware that I bring my images and sounds with me to your photo. I just know there are crocodiles waiting underneath the surface or elephants on the edges preparing to bathe, possibly lions crouched, alert, while cautiously lapping water. In color, I doubt I would "see" or feel any of this. For a simply photo, there sure is a lot going on!

I like the B&W image best. Very moody, with the dead looking trees with the dark reflections/shadows below in the water... Nice composition and the tress lead the eye into the image. I like this shot. Nice colours in the second... Nice work. TFS
