Default In your face ..... Blue gay

I had so much fun with the sparrows the other day that I decided to give it a try with the blue gays ... got a bit more light on the bg by putting a large spotlight in front of the edge ... wish I could have gotten him all in the frame .. but darn these little guys are fast and they dont hover like the sparrows ...

the set up - peanut on top of the feeder .. pre focused about 1 foot of the feeder .. lighting on the BG ... 1 good shot priceless ... ;-)

1/2500s f/8.0 at 400.0mm iso400

1/2500s f/9.0 at 400.0mm iso400

this one is a bit out of the focus zone

1/2500s f/9.0 at 400.0mm iso400

Thanks
Rick

What stunning shots. I love how crisp and clear that are. The first one with his wings arent is very beautiful.

Amazing captures Rick, I didn't think you could do any better than your last ones, but you did. Outstanding work my friend.

Dave.

Great captures, Rick, they are amazing and very well done! I'm going to have to add a peanut to my list of photographic equipment! Thanks for sharing, both the shots and the how-to
