I'll be honest, I think it looks a little strange. Maybe because most of the pregnancy shots I've seen have been indoors, or in a studio. The pregnant belly peeking out from the coat, with the drab, dull background...it's just not a great fit for me. It doesn't work for me for a lot of reasons, but those are a few. Sorry if that's harsh.

at doust. gotta get out of the norm sometimes. i'll tell you my reasoning behind the shoot. i loved that day due to the overcast and cloud formations. i chose to do it due to the mother-to-be, worrying, are we gonna be good parents, apprehensive sort of thing with the overcast day adding more drama to convey what i saw that day. personally, i thought the shoot turned out fantastic. but i do greatly appreciate your thoughts, and no, they weren't harsh at all. how long have you been shooting btw?

Yes, I agree it is an unusual approach to "pregnant belly shots." Had to let it incubate for a bit but I say, cool! I salute you for your willingness to try something different. Not everyone will connect with our own artistic vision but we've got to follow our instincts. The last 2 work in their own way, but I like the first as I can see more of her emotions you described. Thanks!!!
