Default The Monterey Homeless +

Such a beautiful background for a hard way of living...

The Monterey Homeless

I took this on my honeymoon last week and while my wife gazed out on the bay, I was thinking...you and me on that bench for a lifetime, whaddya say?

Dusk At The Dock

and this was her artsy reply (it means she'd love to he he )..

hi
nice place to be homeless a lot better than where i live in Oxford uk. The sea air is a bonus for a start as opposed to traffic pollution here.
Nice subject matter and shots as we are doing similar things at the moment as my thread will show you.
keep at it as its a great way of recording waht is happening out there
cheers
mike

Welcome to DPS! I live here in central CA. myself and we visit Monterey and Santa Cruz whenever we can. As soon as I opened your thread I thought, "Oh I know that exact spot!" Great image that shows the sadder side of the coast. We see it a lot in Santa Cruz as well. The other two are nice as well. I like the lines and lighting in the second one (outside the aquarium?). Your wife is beautiful. She has gorgeous blue eyes. Nice set of pics. Thanks for sharing them.

I agree, being homeless in Monterey IS probably better. What the shot didn't capture was the ice chilled wind that was ripping through the town. Those men were hanging out behind that wall for a good reason!!

Why thank you so much! We actually visited Santa Cruz too and we loved it as well. The harder side of life was even more apparent there. The 2nd shot is actually on Cannery Row ,but next to a hotel. Love the feel of that town!
