Nice pics! Funny how the most uninteresting items become interesting when placed outside of their element! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Hayward-I'm fine thank you! I'm very glad you like the shots-'always look up and behind' when out with the camera................advice when I was much younger. Thank you for the comments.

Mike............hahahahahahaha-we are certainly a breed apart-completely agree! That mop really stopped me in my tracks-so high up too. Glad you like the set-thank you for putting a smile on my face.

Hi, dear cousin. Leave it to you to find the splendor in the simple shot. It almost feels as though your reward for having eyes to see in and through, was a feather, blue and black, waiting just for you on a tree. I do love the mop--the essential tool of domestic life. It reminds me of a line from my favorite poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins. From Pied Beauty:

Landscape plotted and pieced—fold, fallow, and plough; 5
And áll trádes, their gear and tackle and trim.

down dazzling whitewash,
wherever an elm arches,
Shivelights and shadowtackle in long lashes lace, lance, and pair'
'Pied Beauty'-G M Hopkins.

WELL isn't that the most amazing thing................one of the finest poets of all time and when I first read 'Pied Beauty' I thought it had been written especially for me. To imagine being able to write 'shivelights and shadowtackle'......................thank you so much for the beautiful words here.
