Default Halifax Citadel, NS

More from my Nova Scotia trip. My photos from the Citadel aren't the most coveted from my trip, but it's a fantastic place to visit for those of you who, like me, enjoy military history, or just history in general. It was a great experience to wander around - I'd definitely advise a visit if you're in the area & have time.

It's a 19th century military fort - finished in the mid 1800s - occupies a hill overlooking the harbour & was built to prevent an overland invasion by the US.

It sure looks like a fun place to visit Sox. I really like your photos. I'm sure they do it justice. Nice going...

Looks like you had a great day for the Citadel! I spent an afternoon there with my camera also, will have to dig some of those shots out to share. I miss Nova Scotia, so this was a lovely walk down memory lane, as all of your sets have been - thank you for sharing!!
