Arrow Memories of Scot(ch)land ....

Here are some pictures from my short trip to Scotland in October 2008. I don't know how i forgot to put them onto my Picasa. Last Night I was just counting the countries I've seen (just 4 so far) and realized that these photos are still not on. This trip was only 2 days long but i must admit it is one of the best places I've seen so far. The first photo was taken in a place called Calendar when I opened my eyes in the misty morning to the sound of Bagpipers playing on the stereo of the bus i was traveling, for moment i felt i was in heaven!!

A small river close to Calendar.

Highland Cow

One of the buildings in Edinburgh, taken through moist window of the bus gives sort of soft focus filter effect : )

Stirling River taken from top of William Wallace memorial

These pictures were taken with friend's Canon SX100 IS, i did not have my Nikon back then. : D

More Photos added in the replies.....

You got some great captures on your trip to Scotland AC I especially like the first one with the mist, but all of them are excellent. One you missed though buddy.. Where's the bottle of Scotch that you "nearly" mentioned in the title lol..
Nice work my friend. I hope you are keeping well.

Dave.

It is obvious that I like pictures of Scotland, both looking and taking. I was wondering if this was a picture of Hamish, the highland cow that lives at Kilmahog, which is just along the road from Calander. The view from the Wallace Monument is terrific, don`t think I could climb it now, so it`s nice to see what you can see from the top.

Hi Billmac, Scotland truly is a nice place. I don't remember the name of the place where I took the picture of the Hamish( thanks for reminding me the name), since these were not taken with my camera i'm unable to recall the names of all places we visited.
View from Wallace monument is amazing, i've taken views of all 4 directions. Getting there was quite difficult for us as well cuz we took a walk from Stirling station and reached there just 20 minutes to closing. We had to run all the way up to buy the tickets as they close the counter at the bottom half hour before closing And we missed the Stirling castle cuz we spent all our time walking to back from the monument
