Default Doorway

This door leads into a store room in a friend's back yard. I really liked the way the Bougainvillea was framing the doorway, along with the hint of urban decay.

That location is really screaming out for a portrait session.

Hmmm. Now there's a good thought! As soon as I get my softbox, I'm going to give it a go!

Which softbox are you getting? I've heard some good things about the Lastolite EzyBox. I'd like to get one for my flashes.

It's gorgeous. It always makes me smile to see how some lovely flowers can brighten up anything and drastically change perspective on something.

I'm really not all that sure. We don't have quite as wide a selection down here so we're basically stuck with the first and best thing, though I have to get a decent speedlight before I can even consider a softbox. I'm looking at the Canon 430 EX II for a start and then have a look at what's available. I can get Pro Strobist, Elinchrom and Lumiquest fairly easily, coincidentally through a web-site that ran a banner here at DPS, would you believe

Thank you I love the colour. You have to wonder why something so bright and alluaring as bougainvillea's have such nasty thorns though, but I guess that would be why so many people use them as a security hedge!

Looks like it is apart of a well established garden? Love the framing, worn old door and downpipe and the vibrant flowers... Nice shot...
