Was settled in for the evening (already took a shower and had jammies on) and was waiting to watch the Vikings Packers MNF game, when I received a call from the Kitsap Sun to go photograph the happenings at the Cloverleaf Tavern in Bremerton. Here, I found long time Minnesota Vikings fans Dick Risley, right, and his wife Ginny cheer as they watch the Vikings running back Adrian Peterson score a one-yard touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the third quarter. Risley and a backroom full of Vikings' fans cheer the game that was being watched on wide screen TV. The Risleys', Viking season ticket holders from 1962-1995, moved to the Kitsap Peninsula in 2001 to be near their son and his family who retired from the Navy.

Nope, don't have anything against the Packers fans or any other team. I don't choose sides, but look for story telling photos. I started out in their section in the front room, but ,most weren't wearing Packer gear but Steelers, Seahawks and other teams jerseys. I was hoping to get a combo of the fans watching the game together as it would make for better pictures, but didn't happen. Besides since most of the rowdy, properly team dressed fans were in the Viking Room in back, they made for better pictures. Now, if there were some Packer fans, proudly wearing the Green and Gold and cheese heads, and crying in their beer, you can bet your ass, I would have captured them as well
