Default I shot the moon.

Ok, this is nowhere near as nice as some of the moon shots I've seen on here but I'm proud of it. I used my 55-200 lens and it was handheld. On top of that the mosquitos were biting my legs mercilessly. It's been raining off and on for days and the sky finally cleared a little. I should have cropped it some more but here it is---

And the moon sees me

Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.

Lets examine the facts, you only had a 55-200mm lens, the camera was hand held, there were mosquitos biting you and it had been raining. In the face of adversity a great result sheltiesmama, well done

I think you did a great job with this one. It's not as easy as it looks. Nicely composed to and you should be very proud of it. Great work.

Dave.

Very nicely done... especially considering the circumstances. I love how you can make out the rough edge in the lower left portion of the Moon's disk. You've heard of The Man In The Moon, but have you heard of The Lady In The Moon? You've captured her perfectly.

Well done indeed. I got similar results with my moon shots...but I was using a tripod and remote shutter release, plus at 400mm. So, again, well done. If you go to the "How I took it" forum, there's a great thread about moon shots by Arlon. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice, i think it looks great the way it is. When you crop a handheld shot with a telephoto lens too far that's when the blurr starts to show.

That's a great shot. Surprised the Pasadena Smog didn't interupt it.

Thanks everyone. And Heaterguy, I'm not that close to Pasadena, tho it can get pretty smoggy.

Very nice. I love moon shots. Yours is a good one. Mosquitoes don't bite me for some reason.
