Default Bridal Veil Falls, California

Wow, after seeing AngelB's Bridal Veil Falls in NZ ? I had just visited our own Bridal Veil Falls here in Yosemite National Park in California last week, so I thought I would share these with you all. California has been in a drought for so long now our Falls are a mere trickle. Hopefully that will all change with a nice wet winter this year. I went up in search of some fall color, but its not here yet. So here is California's Bridal Veil Falls. By spring I hope to bring you a nicer shot of the Falls...
This is a view of the Falls from down below,

And a view after the hike up to the Falls,

And lastly a view of the sun casting a glow on the mountain.

Thanks for looking. Comments or suggestions are always welcome.

Nice set, based on the markings on the rock face, it looks as though it gets much heavier at times. Would love to see it then as well. TFS

Nice shots. I had a chance to visit Yosemite this time of year quite awhile and the falls weren't impressive then either however, the park was simply majestic. Thanks for sharing.

Great shots! Yosemite is one of the greatest places on Earth for a photographer, in my opinion. I was there once and only for a few hours. I could have stayed for days.

There may only be a trickle of water running over the edge but I can imagine after a good downpour water rushing over the edge at a great roar. The raindow of colour reflecting on the rock face is spectacular in the first shot. I notice you mentioned you hike to the falls, it is an easy 10 minute walk through a small bush area to get to our BVF. The two falls may have the same name but it is amazing how different the BVF in New Zealand are compared to the BVF in Yosemite Ntional Park. TFS
