Birds are not the easiest creatures to photogragh. So all in all, I think you did a great job. Were you up on the roof or is this out a window? I hope

Hi there - I can understand the frustration .. I posted a photo of a seagull in flight not too long ago - that was the only "usable" one out of 27clicks .. but like a true trooper, we never give up

The last one is a true winner ..if you had seen me last weekend throwing fries into the air to get the birds to gather above me in flight, you would realise that i also find it difficult to take bird shots, but just one good shot makes it all worth it...keep at it your on the way to getting some really good shots. thankyou for sharing these.

Looks good to me, keep shooting. And when you can figure out how to get the birds to cooperate can you write a small article for the rest of us

The last one is nice. They are hard to photograph. I have had photo ideas that I would take 50 or so shots and maybe one would come out. Keep at it and you will continually get better.

"There are NO bad shots. Only shots that are not as good as your best ones..." I just made that up!!!
Mike's right in his comments! Most of what I shoot is crap! If you followed my Reno Air Races threads a couple weeks ago, I shot 5300 pics in two days, and ended up with only 3 dozen or so that I was willing to show here. The more photogs I talk to, the more I realize that this is the norm. If you want people to really admire you as a photographer, only show your best work! These aren't too bad at all! Birds are very hard to shoot in flight! Keep it up!

I like them, especially the second one because of the blur on the moving bird and the last one. I think you did a great job - I have yet to tackle flying birds, but I imagine that if I got one usable shot out of hundreds, I'd be happy
I also really like all the grey shades and muted tones in the pictures.
