That's one of the things I really miss from the mountains... all the oak leaves and acorn caps. I know it's strange but, I had a lot of fun with these as a boy. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Agbeard.

My grandparents had an oak tree in their front yard. They also had a sewer and a manhole in the front yard. So what would a little boy do? Stick one eye over a hole to see the water way, way, way, down there and drop an acorn in one of the other holes and watch it hit the water! A great memory spurred by your picture.
