I went on to a park and noticed this bubble sitting on the sidewalk, so acted quickly to capture it while it's still there...
But it wouldn't burst...30 secs...minute...close to two the wind picks it up...I was completely puzzled... Turns out the solution has something sticky in it, not just soap, more like a bubble gum bubble... Anyhow, my ISO was left high at 800 from the night before, I didn't notice, so it came out grainy (sigh), so I had to do a pseudo-LOMO trick somebody offered on DPS front page, hope you like it...

Great bubble capture with good DOF. Amazing how it didn't pop I wonder what the sticky solution was. TFS

Nice shot. We've had those types of bubbles before and I forget what they are called, but they will stack on themselves (or you) for a while before they pop. Kids love them.

Thanks people....appreciate it...
mymaison, if you can remember anything about the type of the solution or the name, please, I can see myself making tons of crazy pics with bubbles that won't explode for minutes... |

Grainy is good...in some cases-like this one! The grainy-ness and shallow DOF complement each other.
There's a kid's product called "super bubble," I think. Almost the same consistency as silly putty, but you blow a bubble with it, and you can actually hold it in your hand and play with it. Lots of potential for some cool shots with it! I may have to try it. Thanks for sharing.

@ equilution,
Thanks, I guess the product is available in US, I'm in Japan, but maybe I can find something similar...PLENTY of ideas in my head with a bubble I can hold in my hand... My son in the bath catching a regular bubble in mid-air...
