Default I Don't Want to Give It Back

A friend lent me his 200mm macro. I'm still working on the focus - it's challenging with this lens, especially hand-held!

I had a 105 macro borrowed through the summer and I know just how you feel! What make and model of lens is it?

Focus or not, these are all great shots. Good luck giving it back!

These are really good shots! I love how you can see the colours on the fly's body! I really want to get a macro lens (as opposed to the 'built in' on on my zoom lens)...but that won't come until I get a permanent job as opposed to just supply work...

It's a Nikkor 200mm f/4.0. I can't get over the versatility. I'm going to be saving my pennies for a while, but I think it has to be mine

Great shots, Martha. I find macro work to be hard because the depth of field is very narrow. You can extend that depth of field by stopping down the lens to a more narrow aperature like f/16, f/20, or even higher and making the appropriate adjustments to film speed or ISO to maintain your exposure. You'll find you'll be able to get more in focus, yet still have the blurred background you desire. Enjoy that lens and make great use of it while you can!

That's what I'm talkin' about!! Great shots! It was worth the wait! It would be a travesty for YOU not to have it in your bag!

Is it the manual 200 macro, or the new AF ED macro?

I've got the new AF Nikkor 105 micro, but I'm lusting after the AF 200mm micro! I could sell a kidney on eBay or something...

Well done!
