I know this is a terrible picture, but I was on my way to bed as my wife said go take a quick picture of it. If you look in the lower right around 5 O'clock you will see a bright light. At 5pm I saw this looking out the front of my house. I took this shot around 10pm from the back of my house and the bright white light was at the same position relative to the moon, but had moved with it from the front to the back of my house. So, anyone have a clue what it might be?

Thanks, but don't think it is a very good shot. I did not think it was a star as the moon moves much faster in the sky than does a star I thought. The moon and this objected stayed in the same position relative to one another over five hours while the moon quite a bit from the front to the back of my home.

welllll......if you REALLY want to find out you could determine the angles and times and that fun stuff than use this awesome program called Stellarium just set it to the exact date and time and then use the azimuth lines to try to figure it out, or just go the time (make sure you have the right location as well!!!) and find the moon and see what shows up, hope that helps!

Yes you are right about it being Jupiter. Last night it was a little further from the moon and lower. Wow this is the first time I every really noticed a planet. Thanks.
