Default Tribute to the Courageous Ones

I don't know if the members here in DPS are aware of the recent devastation brought by flood here in Manila and nearby towns..i was fortunate enough to live in a higher place but many were not that lucky..anyway, i have not posted recently and i think posting some of my flower pictures and a candle would be a fitting tribute to those who lost their homes or loved ones and to those who braved the flood to help others..(i also hope that all the Filipino members here in DPS who live in Manila are safe and still clicking those shutters..)

santan

yellowbell

(i usually share my landscape shot and this is my first time to post some of my flower pics..all were taken with my point and shoot maximizing its macro feature)

Jennie, according to reports this tragedy has resulted in many fatalities and severe damage and destruction, and one can only imagine the cruel conditions some people are surviving in and the support services are working in, my thoughts are with you all.
Your post is a fitting tribute

I hate that such a horrible tragedy has hit any place, especially one that is so populated. Your tribute is beautiful, and you do the PI proud!

thank you beach..the government and the private sector, including the international community, are doing their best to help reach out to those who were affected by the flood..but it will take a long time for some to rebuild their homes or their lives from this tragedy..

Prayer Candles 2

Jen, I hope you don't mind. I am adding my set of prayer candles. For those who lost their loved ones, may they find peace and hope in these dire times.

Jennie, I visited the PI several times in my younger Navy days. Beautiful Islands and even more beautiful people. God be with you all.
