Great shot composter! I've gotten some great results also. You might want to check out the "How I took it" forum. Arlon has some great advice!!!

Great shot composter. I read the 'How I did it' article this weekend, and have been trying this same experiment myself for the last three evenings, but can't get the sharp focus you got here. What length lens did you use - was it fixed or zoom? Perhaps I'm just pushing beyond the capabilities of my 55-200 zoom...
Well done and tfs Grumby

thanks guys, I was excited....... up until I read the " How I shot the Moon" I was getting the same old white circle, I was shooting it all wrong. I found the confusion of shooting the moon to be the complete opposite of what one would think to do naturally. great props to arlon for directing me in the right direction. (no pun intended).
just a regular kit lens with ISO 100 but the biggest improvement was to shoot from the darkest place with a sturdy tripod and a timer. |
