Default Faster then a speeding bullet...

I have been trying for longer then I care to admit to capture the hummingbirds that visit my backyard everyday. We don't get snow and so they even come visit in the rain. These are the best shots I have gotten to date. I just love watching these guys everyday, it never gets old or boring! I will continue my quest for "the shot!"...I know even these have room for much improvement.

Michelle, these little guys/gals are hard to catch. I think you've done very well with the second and third ones. Nice work. Keep at it, you'll get once you consider The Shot.

Yup, have to agree with the others. They all look good, but 2 and 3 look great. I plan to try capturing some myself in the future, and I hope mine can measure up to these!

Nope I am hoping for a bit clearer focus without any noise. I had to shoot these at ISO 1600. My feeder is under my patio roof and so it is in some dark shade with back lighting so with such a fast a shutter speed to freeze the little guy I have to crank up the ISO. I need a prime zoom! Thank you for very kind words!

now where have we heard a member say " heres some shots, but I'm still working on it " ?

I certainly understand feeling that way.. but I have to tell you Michelle the third image is very very good.. ( I know your seeing the tail hidden by the feeder ) ,, but the EYE ! always look eye Danielson ! .. it's looking right at me .. and you captured the wing stretched out, without a killer lense I don't know if it's possible to get the eye clear and the wing any clearer..you did a fantastic job !

of course I like the first two.. and I know he didn't sit there longer then a few seconds for you, they are both very clear.. but I Love the third ( cause I know how hard it is ) and it's pretty damn good. When you get a better one I wanna see !!

Vin
