Default Just a typical Colorado Trail Ride

I went for a ride this weekend in an open space park about 15 minutes from the house. This used to be a large working ranch that the county has bought and turned into a hiking/biking/horsebackriding area. It is over 3000 acres of just natural Colorado.

I love riding through tall prairie grass. It's romantic to me.

No matter the season, the views are awesome

If you look way down there, you can see Clear Creek flowing through the canyon.

And if you are brave enough to get real close to the edge, (and trust your horse enough,) you can see the highway.

Tall prairie grass, open skies, and horses. They just seem to go together, even to a suburbanite like me. Love your extraordinary views. I saw a post of yours while you were on the way home a while back where you had a picture of a fisherman on a creek. I was wondering if that was clear creek when I saw it, but then thought better of it, because it could have been any creek in Colorado. Anyway, I've taken the ride from I-70 to boulder along clear Creek. Positively stunning scenery as your photos show. What a gorgeous place and gorgeous shots to match.
