Default Sunshine is back and I am out and about

It was nice at lunch today.......about 68, sunny....a nip in the air....don't like the nip much though.....I went by the dam today and saw this hideous looking bee...don't know how its body stays together really

Hi Patrick - uhhh - looks more like a wasp .. mean looking .. at least you had a chance to go out on your lunch hour ...

thought it might have been a wasp but wasn't 100%. It has been nice to get out and about again.

Hi Patrick - those are great shots - I would hate for that thing to get after me. I hear ya about the sunshine !! It was finally sunny here too !!!

Patrick, that's a really strange bug, and apparently a pretty hungry one, too. I like the flower climbing up the stalk. Well done.

I dont think id like to get to close to that bug...i remember how much a wasp sting hurt..but its a great photo..love the flowers too...glad you got out and the weather wasnt too bad..its been blowing a gale here all day and chilly.

same here....very windy and quite a bit colder.........stinks....hear that more rain is on the way

cool i never saw i wasp like that.ha the biodiversity is so small here so i've only seen one specie of wasp here and i've been living here for 8 years!

Now the sun is coming out for you and the clouds are just starting to come in a little bit here. We are finally going to cool down a touch tomorrow.
Didn't you have one of these anorexic bees last year? Looks more like a wasp to me and either way it is the freakiest flying critter I have ever seen! Your right, how do they stay together? Awesome close up shots of him. I don't think I would want to be that close, looks like he could pack a walup! I really like that last flower bud. So pretty!
