Here's a pretty mundane shot, but I thought it turned out pretty cool. While doing the dishes last night, I noticed the filament in the bulb over my head. The bulb was clear so the filament was clearly visible. I stopped the aperture down to f/11 and shot it at 1/400th sec. The texture of the glass dome around it came out pretty cool. This is just as it came out of my camera except for a bit of cropping.

Thanks, Lori. Olive Branch, eh? My father lives in OB (Coleman Rd.)...commutes to Memphis as a flight instructor for FedEx. In fact, I learned to fly out of OB airport! Small world!

Cool shot! I like how the dish surround the bulb appears to be swirling around the light bulb. I love taking pictures of light bulbs it amazes me what the camera can see that our eyes simply can't. I've taken lots of pictures like this. This one is probably my favorite of a light bulb I've done so far.

HI Jim, definitely not mudane my friend, you captured the filament so well and a nice crop too. Isn't it amazing what photography makes us see. This is creative work Jim and I like it a lot. Great title for your image too.
