Default Earth, Water, and...

Just a few shots I took today. I have been trying to compile some more shots with shadows. Let me know what you think.

They all work Paul, the first with strong colours and deep shadow from good sun light, the second, with the waves formed by the stones/ gravel perfectly mimicking sand dunes, strong lines/ shadows in the third with good contrast against the sky, and a softer shadow to finish, good job mate

Thanks guys. My personal favs were the first and second ones. My friend Bob took a shot of the hydrant bib, and we joked about who would get the better score at the next club meeting if we both submit that shot. Steve, I ended up submitting the first shot in this series, as well as the book and horse shot from the last set. Thanks again everyone.

Thanks Steve. I hope that I beat my buddy up at this one. Well, maybe not, as I scored higher than him at the last meeting's theme night. Cheers, mate.

I love the strong shadows and the emphasis on the red of the water valve in your first shot. The textures and color blending on your second is very pleasing. I like the industrial feel in the third and the soft shadow in the last. A great set and something I need to work on. thanks!

I think the first one is your strongest image of the set of 4. Really nicely done!
