Default My Weekend Excitement!

Actually it was a rather subdued weekend. Instead of allowing another one to pass without attempting to capture anything above and beyond the activities of my toddler, I got my camera out and composed as best I could. I kept these three, so thought I'd share.

Playing with my little guy; he wanted to trace my hand for a change.

Not completely happy with my efforts at capturing a water drop, but will live with this one until the next attempt.

The sun was beaming through the clouds after a thunderstorm Saturday afternoon. If you squint hard enough, you can see the sun rays off to the left.

Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome. Hope you all had a pleasant weekend also.

Well, you stayed in the think-like-a-photographer mode all weekend, didn't you? I like your first photo for two reasons: it's a great study in DOF but it tells a story of simple pleasures, namely tracing mommas hand. That just makes me smile, as do the rays that you really do have to squint to see.

Hi Hayward. Thank you so much much. People make those water drops look so easy, but boy! They are giving me a run for my sanity and patience! Happy Monday!

Thank you Lindy. Of course, the first image holds the most sentimental meaning for me. I love his little hands, and whenever he wants to play with me, like here tracing my hand or when he pats me on the back, it gives me the most amazing comfort. Like when someone is playing with your hair. I love that I can look at this image and get that feeling immediately.

Aimee, time spent with the little one is like adding time to the end of your life. such a poignant picture. I like the trail in your water drop shot. I've not seen that before. I actually picked up the sun rays without having to squint. A very enjoyable set.

Thanks, Mike. You're absolutely right...every moment is more amazing than the last. Those sun rays were much more pronounced at first, but by the time i got my settings corrected, they'd all but disappeared. Was happy that I could see a hint of them anyway. Thanks again.

I really love your drop of water!!! I bet if you put it through noiseware it would clean it up even nicer.
