Default Hiya again! I bring vacation highlights!

I know, I know....where have I been? LOL! Been spending too much time on Facebook with my DPS crew. Haha! I've been out of commission for awhile. A lovely lightnight strike took out the good ole computer (along with tv, stove and other electronics around the house...ugh) while we were on vacation. We finally have a new computer (yay for an iMac!!) and I'm finally able to get going again with some pictures. So I thought I'd pop back on here and hopefully be guilted into coming back more often by all of you. haha!

I'm slowly going through 800 pics from vacation to California. Figure I better get back on here and share with you all! I promise I'll try and get on more often now. I miss all of ya!

Jody, those are beautiful shots, what a great place to go on vacation. I love both your waterfall shots, and the hummingbird is so dlear and sharp. Looking forward to seeing more from your vacation.

Welcome back! Aren't Macs great? Regarding the hummingbird: perfect. The other shots remind me of my time in the woods near Santa Cruz. Where were you? The last shot, BTW: perfect.

Thanks Mike! I have so many pictures. I can't wait to finish going through them all. I'll be posting more for sure.

They totally were amazing. You would of loved the Avenue of the Giants windrider. 31 miles of back road through the redwoods. We were in a convertible (which was awesome), but I bet it would be even better on a motorcycle! You'd love it!

So far the Mac is awesome. Its definitely different. I'm still trying to figure out my old work flow and how to do it on a mac, but other than....awesome!

Thanks for the kind words. We were in northern California. The hummingbird was taken in my MIL's back yard. The first waterfall was taken at Lower Falls in McCloud CA. It's right near Mt Shasta.

The last two pics were my two favorite places we went. The canyon with all the ferns is Fern Canyon. This is near Orick CA (in between Cresent City and Eureka). This place was awesome. YOu have to drive along 12 miles of dirt road (and not flat dirt road...mountainous dirt roads), and drive accross 3 streams, to get to it. I saw it for the first time and literally said outloud "Are you kidding me?!" There are just no words to describe how beautiful it is.

The last pic is Moss Brae Falls in Dunsmuir CA. Again, this place was so cool. We had to pull off the side of the road and park. Then walk about a mile up some railroad tracks (dodging a train that came along at one point...LOL). Then when we got to the train bridge, you just turn and go into the woods. And bam....you come accross this. It was so amazing. The falls are about 50 feet tall and about 150 feet wide. Totally cool! I could of stayed there all day.

lightning strike took out the good ole computer (along with tv, stove and other electronics around the house)

Thats one heck of a storm to do that, but hopefully no-one was hurt.
I like your first vacation selection, particularly the third and final pictures where the overgrown forest and fallen tree, and the river filled by multiple waterfalls are outstanding
