Default They won't be here much longer!

Moving away for a moment from the outer banks to Nikki Sue's favorite lantana patch in her front yard. The butterflies won't be with us much longer, so I felt like I needed to get out and grab a few more before they were gone.

Caught this one licking its chops after a sweet snack.

Top notch, Mike. And the light in your second one is remarkable.

Beautiful pictures! I agree with everyone about the second one being the best. But I would be happy to capture one like any of them!

Love that light coming through the wing in that second shot.....really lights up the beauty of the pattern....keep shooting, it will soon all be gone....to New Zealand!

First of all I love love butterflies, and these photos are beautiful. I can't decide which I like better. The second or fourth.

Beautiful shots Mike, espcially the second and last one. Makes me wonder though, Where do butterflies go in winter?
