Wow! That's an interesting thing. It looks like it's out in the middle of nowhere. Now that's a heck of a wind chime!!
Welcome to DPS and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the replies, ive added a 2nd pic but the sky look blowns out, the weather changed very quickly, being a noob not confident enough to start trying to mess with the sky, standing next to it and listening to it was very sci-fi like. When i get to grips with my camera i really want to go at night and get some shots of the halo sculpture.

Hi Drippy,
Welcome to DPS. Your photo does two things I find enjoyable in photos: it informs and intrigues. A panopticon is a new word/concept. The intriguing part is the sound. That must be wonderful. And now that I am an "experienced" photographer, I'm so glad I have the blown sky thing all figured out. Sigh--I wish it were a "noob" thing. Hope you enjoy your time here. It's a great place to learn and grow.

Welcome to DPS....this is great....I have never seen anything like that before. Does it make a lot of noise when it's windy?

Welcome to DPS Drippy! These are interesting photos, I read a little about it and would love to hear the sounds it makes when the wind blows through.
Thanks for sharing these Michael.
