Default Shadows and Form

I took these for a monthly contest that our photo club is having. The theme is, you guessed it, shadows. I took them all on my desk using my desk lamp as the light source. I hope you enjoy them, and thanks for checking these out!

The ring shot turned out really well and I love the tones on the last two and a nice soft shadow in the second one. Great work plangereis.

Dave.

I love the way the ring casts a heart shaped shadow. Impressive. Thanks and God bless. PAUL

Excellent light and shadow. These are all very creative. I like the pinpoint dots of light coming off the crystal in your second one.

An excellent set Paul, lovely control over the reflected and the refracted light, and the consequent shadows, it takes talent to make something so simple look so good

Thanks KazeFox. Not an original idea, but once I saw it I had to try it!

Thanks Dave. I spent way more time taking various shots with different angles etc on each of these. Initially I told my wife I wanted to go to bed by 10 pm, but stayed up until 1 am! I am an addict!

Thanks Michael. This is what happens when you have the bug, and it is too late to go out and shoot.

Thanks Preacherman. I have to send this shot to my father-in-law as he is a retired Anglican minister. He will love it.

Thanks Mike. This was the hardest of the seriesd to get something I liked. Thank god there is such a thing as a cropping tool, and I did not have to crop very much!

Thanks Steve. Your kind words continually ring through my head, and help me take forays into different subject matter when I pick up my camera. Like I said to Mike, this was the hardest one of the bunch for me to get something that I liked compositionally. Cheers!

all interesting but i like the horse the best, esp the angle of the head looking back. Maybe you can get some sleep now.
