Default A couple from our trip to SA

We spent a month in South Africa....while there we spent 2 nights at the Lion Park. Victor was our guide there. We couldn't have asked for a better one.
Left to right: Bryant (my husband), myself, Victor and then my mom.
South Africa

While there we visited Lesedi Village, my husband thought we would become a chief, but had to settle for a warrior...
South Africa

I had my photo taken with a very cute little boy who asked for sweets after you get his pic...stupid me...had nothing with me.
South Africa

And finally.....I got a huge elephant kiss at the Elephant Sanctuary at Hartbeespoort Dam. They tell you the dirt is good for your skin...all mixed in with elephant urine, dirt, slim, etc...
South Africa

They don't tell you about the kiss until after....If it hasn't killed any of them....I am not worried about it. I think that didn't taste nearly as bad as when they made us beer on a rock sitting on the ground....that burnt all the way down.
I am very pro-South Africa....if interested....I have 1000's more on Flickr that I am working on now. We took over 8000 while there.

Elephant urine, lovely, you should bottle and label it and sell it on Ebay, and maybe make a fortune. What an adventure you had, and what a very enjoyable post with perhaps more pictures to follow, excellent job Angella

You captured some lovely pictures from your trip, I am sure they will hold a lot of memories. I love the one of your husband with the warrior and looks like you were enjoying your kiss from the elephant. haha Great set Angella.

Dave.

What a wonderful experience it must have been for you all. The photos are fantastic and show that you had a great time. I hope your hubby wasn't too jealous of a good-looking elephant giving you a big kiss lol. Thanks for sharing, I will have to take a look at your flickr.

Looks like it was a wonderful trip Angella! I love the one with the young child and the Elephant Kiss. I've ridden Elephants in Thailand, although they aren't as big as the African ones.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.
