Default Hoist Lake: A World A Way

Recently my son, John, and I backpacked into the wilderness of the Huron National Forest in Michigan. The views were spectacular and we had a great 2 days away from the world as we know it. We eat next to an open fire, slept in tents and sleeping bags, hike though some of God's beautiful creation. Oh, and did I mention photography. Most people will never have the experience we had, but I thought I'd bring a bit of our trip home. North Hoist Lake has been undisturbed for as long as the lake has existed and we see the beauty of the lake as other have for hundreds of years. I've brought the lake here for you so that you may enjoy it as well.

Hi David - this is a stunning image .. the split in the tree line made for a spectacular water reflections enhanced by the branches in the foreground .. very well composed .. I hope you have some more to share with us ..

You captured a really beautiful picture of this lake and I like the reflection of the trees on the water. What a great place to get away from it all. Thanks for sharing.
