Default My trip to see Bernz in Wellington NZ...set 1

Hubby Steve and I went on a trip to see Bernz and the incredible area where he lives. Wellington is a 6 hour drive (when travelling without a camera lol) from where I live but as I did have a camera it took us a lot longer to get there. NZ is full of beautiful scenery so I thought I would stop along the way to capture some of it to show you.

First stop Huka Falls Taupo. We arrived in time to see the Huka Jet take its passengers up close to the falls.

Huka Falls, NZ

An hour or so after that we travelled along the Desert Road. A very long boring road except for the stunning view of the snowy mountain. It is spring here in NZ so the snow isn't down that far. Unfortunately the clouds were covering to tip but still a spectacular sight.

National Park, NZ

The barren land in the foreground of the photos is the only other sight you get to see travelling along except for the odd times you may spot wild horses. As it is mostly desert the Army do their training here.

Hope you enjoy. I will post some more shots of our trip over the next few days.

hmm so back with a lot of pics for us i think...

#1 i liked the composition but is it a little bit blurred or u went for a longer exposure...

#2 nice.. crisp... i like this one....

#3 i can see the horizon is a little bit tilted and u can crop a part of the above sky which is not of any special interest to the viewer...

# 4 Mind Blowing... i m really loving that... I can hang that on my wall @ home ..

So more to come...

From the last two shots i feel like the possibility of panos... did u take any..?? dont disappoint me...

Great pictures, the mountains are incredible. If a person was to visit NZ what time of the year would you suggest?

Wow those fallsa are awesome Angela and your captures of them are excellent and really show the power and your snow capped mountains are really so good too. Although covered in cloud, I think they still look gorgeous. Can't wait to see more of your trip. Thank's for sharing these Angela.

Dave.

Bernz and Angela together, I'm excited at the pics to follow, love the snow capped mountains, and the falls look like a wonderful place to spend time. I feel a chill just watching your shots of them. TFS

Well Angela a great start with some shots on your way to Wellington. Yes we had a fabulous time and shared our skills whilst taking and discussing photography. As always it is interesting to see what the other person captured on the same trek. Looking forward to your Wellington shots. Cheers, Bernz
