Default Some more from the California Coast...

A few more from our trip to the coast last Tuesday.

It was so fun to watch the Pelicans fishing...
Dive Bombing Pelican

My Mom posted one of this duo tag team also...this is my shot of them,
Tag Team Pelicans

Megan was determined that she was going to concur the waves...
You wont get me...

And last but not least, I do not know these people but I thought this was a great capture of a father and daughter watching in amazement...
Wow! Did you see that Daddy?

Have a great weekend!

Nice, Michelle. Pelicans are so graceful in flight. Yours remind me of air shows I've seen with the Thunderbirds. Precision diving aptly photographed, for sure. How can they be such awkward creatures otherwise? Meagan looks so determined with her clenched fists. Nice one of the family, too. You guys must have had a great time!

I so miss the ocean! These are great shots. The pelicans are awesome! And the last shot is a great father/daughter moment. I am glad you had such a great gettaway. Thanks for sharing.

Great shots Michelle, I've never seen pelicans diving, I really don't think ours do Did your daughter make it into the water? Love your last photo because I can't help but wounder, what if the water he dives into is too shallow? I just have visions of a pelican stuck in the sand because the water was to shallow.

great shots Michelle...I was 13 and 14 yrs old when I frequented this beach, having been a resident of San Jose and have alot of fond memories and remembrances of frigid water much to my disappointment having been accustomed to the warmth of the Atlantic......Did you catch any pelicans halfway in the water?

You are right, for such awkward creatures they were so graceful and precise in their hunting. It was really amazing to witness. Megan was determined for sure. It was a great time, I am glad it comes across. Thank you Lindy!

Yeah, Megan made it into the water. She is part fish! Both of my girls could be beach bums if given the chance! The water was shallow right there. They really did not seem to care if people were close by or anything else. They just wanted those fish. Like you, I am also amazed they don't get stuck in the sand. That would be the shot to get! Thanks Michele!

I live about 2 hours away from there so we have to plan a day trip to visit. I feel pretty lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty here in CA. The coast, the mountains, the dessert. Just depends on which direction you drive in.
The water was very frigid. While taking some photos it actually got my toes and wow! I don't know how my girls could be in it so much! Too cold for me. I do have a few shots of the pelicans entering the water but I have not really looked to see if they are any good. I will look through them soon. Thank you Patrick!

A lovely set Michelle, unsurprisingly they have a similar feel to your mums selection and are equality impressive. The final one is my favourite with father and daughter and the performing pelican

Me too! Just great, you feel like you are part of the scene instead of just watching it.
