Default When the rain eases, my subjects and I start moving!

It has been very rainy lately with no letup in sight...I have been lucky that the rain has worked around my shooting.....sort of....it was light sprinkles, then it would stop and I was putting the camera under cover and bringing it out again

This grasshopper was not intent on moving much yet as it camoflages itself under the goldenrod

DSC_2830

I do not know what the ladybugs find on these almost spent Queen Anne's lace plants

DSC_2450

I don't know what these are but they are fairly plentiful at this point

bug

This ladybug is headed back down the goldenrod stalk and will go up another......they can fly but don't seem to utilize that skill too often. I personally really like this shot........all the shots taken at 200mm or very close to it

You have a keen eye for detail and opportunity and are very good at these close-up shots in sometimes difficult light and benefitting from shallow DoF. I like this set, but my favourite Patrick is your second picture with its complimentray colour tones, pin sharp detail and leaves that dissolve out of focus.

Great set Patrick, the second shot does it for me though. Nice flower and great detail. TFS

The "spent" Queen Anne's Lace reminds me of a young girl in a twirly skirt, as it seems to spinning in the breeze. I also like the star pattern in the Queen's robe. Lovely!

Rain doesn't stop you from getting great photos. You had perfect DoF and very clear close up shots at 200mm. I usually have camera shake at that focal length. Thanks for sharing.

You do find some amazing things in your lunchtime walks Patrick and today was the turn of the bugs and what a great job you did with your captures of them. I like them all but I think my favourite is the third one with unusual colours. I don't know what it is either but I do know you did a great job of capturing them all.

Dave.

Thanks Beach, I can't decide on my favorite......I suppose I lean towards the last shot but many of you liked the 2nd shot.....that always interests me, what picture people choose......trying to figure out why etc. Perhaps I'll get better with the feedback?
