Default Boat House in the looking glass

Ok this is best viewed large and my first experiment into RAW editing... now hooked guess once you try RAW there really is no going back lol ....

I know I know I need a more Zoom to get the boat house better but the 18-55 was maxed to get this ... oh in time I will get one

Thats a lovely picture, and the the 18-55 gives the scope for these big expansive shots. The light is good the colours are great, the sky interesting, I like the trees with the ground behind rising up, the water and the reflections, great job FoG

This is a beautiful shot and the colors are wonderful. I have not done any raw shots yet but will have to experiment. Thanks for sharing.

I join you in singing an Ode to Camera Raw. Many of my images have been saved when I had a brain cloud and didn't pre-adjust my camera settings. While we can't know for sure, you may actually be glad you didn't have your zoom. From this distance you have all the wonderful diagonal lines that helps make this the lovely shot that it is--they gently lead your eyes around the photo going from reflection to tree line to mountain slopes. Lovely!

I would suggest doing RAW as soon as possible it really is amazing what it sees that gets compressed out converting to Jpeg

Thank you for the kind words Lindy I have now set it to RAW and Basic as that is all it offers but having seen this result I am more than happy to leave it there lol. I never even knew it did the flashy highlights on camera till earlier today thank goodness for field guides LOL

Stunning!
I love the depth & clarity of the reflections in the water, & the colour of the trees is amazing.
Well done buddy!
