As for the gas blowing, don't use actual gas, might end up badly. Here's what to do (never seen photograph's, I'm sure people on flickr have done it though)Try using some Axe or Tag (any kind of cheep body spray you can buy at local walmart or such that you can hold down the button and it sprays continuously) and then do what kids would do with paper (make a long stick/log type form where you could see through it) and then either have your candle or a ligther at the end of it (making sure you DO NOT light the paper) and hold down the sprayer on the body spray. Make sure you got some water handy, just in case it lights anything, it will burn out fast though, and not too bad, but wouldn't want any burn stains on the carpet or wall or anything.
