Default Black and White Self Portrait

Self Portrait

alright, so its school holidays, and im rather bored when im not working, so i am trying my hand at some self portraits.
ive used a black sheet as a background and i made some lights with a lamp behind a box, covered in baking paper.
what i was really after was that dark, dirty, rugged sort of look.
i edited in lightroom.

i would love your thoughts.
i tried in the critique my shot section, but didn't get any reply's so im hoping it goes better in this section haha.

thank you.
as always, there's more on my flickr.

A great self portrait you look so serious, I always start laughing when I try something like that. Anyway this is a great image the lighting is spot on. Thanks for sharing.
