Default Crazy Dust storm

Just have a pic i wanted to share from a 'perfect storm' as they called it on the news here in South Australia yesterday, The photo is taken from my hubby's mobile.

While half the state was covered in dust, the other half was being hammered with hail the size of golf balls. One place had 30mm of rain in just 15 minutes. Saddly i was in the half of the state that got the dust.

After being a grey overcast morning. The sky started to turn orange as the dust rolled in. It became darker and darker as the sky turned a deep burnt orange colour. Then we had a mud shower (and i mean a mud shower you should see my car!) Which lasted about 10 minutes if that, before the dust clear and the skys went a bright grey again. Amazing!

So here is a pic from hubbies work

That's kind of an eerie sight. Can't imagine seeing it first hand.

Cool shot. Must be quite something to witness first hand. That's some serious weather you guys had down there. Mother nature must be pretty upset to throw all that your way.

We are used to dust storms, Nothing but land north from us and as soon as there is a north wind we have dust, but nothing like yesterday. It went darker than that before it changed.

There are some other great pics on one of the aussie news websites too

There may be some more pics pop up today, becaue this stom that hit us (im in the middle of south australia, pretty much halfway from left ot right of australia) Well its now travelled all the way to Sydney on the east coast and is causing havoc there.

On the way its taken out a major regional towns power supply!
