Default this is why you should always have your camera.... or may be not

ibelimitless inspired to post some pictures I took - NOT WITH MY CAMERA - during the weekend.

A friend of mine left me his Canon 40D with an EF 70-200 glass for a couple of days.

Here are some images taken with that camera.

1) Landscape after the rain (stitched 4 pictures)

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

The eye in the sky

2) A female Sunbird (local version of Hummingbirds)

This is not the usual view of a hummer...but that was not taken with my usual camera, neither.

You can run, but you can't hide

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 200 mm
Exposure: +0.57
ISO Speed: 160
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

3) Four Feathers, well may be three.

A couple of weeks ago my younger daughter brought a bunch of those feathers home. She put them here, she put them there, she put them everywhere. At the end I stucked them on the fence, out of the way. The wind combed them.

feathers-1

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 200 mm
Exposure: -0.48
ISO Speed: 160
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

4) Anaconda

I was so scared and knew that the snake would not pose for me for ever, that I could not find the ISO button on the camera. No matter how many times I asked, it wouldn't stop moving its head, thus the motion blur.

Snake

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 189 mm
Exposure: -0.29
ISO Speed: 160
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Great set of captures - especially with unfamiliar kit. I like the feathers against the blurred background.

But I can't imagine leaving my 40D behind - you must be good friends

Well you have done well with this other camera.

That first shot is a gem - well presented. All 4 are very good indeed. Cheers, Bernz

Wow that first shot is amasing. Great compostion with the rays breaking thorugh the clouds, esp since its a stitch... it can be hard to get a good stitch sometimes.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice comments.
If I was the owner of the camera I'd feel like you. Specially after using it for a while.
